From January to June, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size increased by 4.6%, and the operating income was 2,269.2 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8%; Total profit was 69 billion yuan, up 20.8 percent year on year. Yarn of enterprises above designated size decreased by 1.5%, and the output of cloth, clothing and chemical fiber increased by 2.1%, 4.4% and 13.2%, respectively.

From January to June, the total retail sales of consumer goods by units above designated size nationwide reached 9,105.7 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1% year-on-year, of which the retail sales of clothing, shoes and hats, and textile products by units above designated size increased by 1.3% year-on-year, and the online retail sales of physical goods increased by 7.0% year-on-year.

Exports showed a recovery trend, and the foreign trade situation improved quarter by quarter. From January to June, China's textile and apparel exports totaled 143.18 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year. In June, textile and apparel exports to the world were 27.4 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.5%.
